General Mfg. Co. Ltd started its activities in 1947 and has developed a wide range of stationary woodworking machinery for the professional woodworking and small shop business. Manufactured in Canada, it has been recognized over the years as a top quality line of products.
In 1995, it introduced the General International line of woodworking machinery and accessories.
In the spring of 2006 General International acquired the assets of Sommerville Design, makers of the Excalibur brand of products inlcuding the Osborne Miter Guide, Excalibur Scroll Saws and Sliding Tables.
In the Fall of 2009 General International launched thier first USA based warehouse and distribution center in Murfreesboro, TN.
